As Apple fans are usually on the lookout for upcoming products from the Cupertino giant, news of a future iMac Pro and M3 iMac have started to surface. The downside of this news is that it seems like both devices will not be launching this year.
News of Apple M3 Models Start to Spread While M2 Models are Still Set to Launch
According to AppleInsider, while the M2 models of the Mac have been on the wish list of Apple buyers with expectations for it to launch this year, the company could already be working on its future models.
The publication claims that the future Mac M3 and iMac Pro models could launch as early as 2023. Despite the M2 chips not yet launching, there is already news of development that involve Apple Silicon's third gen devices.
Apple M3 Chips are Still Going Through Testing
The article by AppleInsider highlights the newsletter by, Bloomberg's "Power On," saying the M3 chips are already going through testing. Although no solid details has been provided regarding the specs of the upcoming M3 chips, a timeline was briefly discussed.
Gurman noted that his expectation is that the earliest that the devices could launch is at the end of 2023. What this means is that there is still a chance that the devices will launch in 2024 instead.
M3 Chips Set to Launch on iMac Pro
On top of the M3 chips, Gurman also added that he thinks another Apple product could also be in the works, which is the iMac Pro. Unlike the M3, however, Gurman said that he does not think that they will launch "anytime soon."
According to Apple Insider, the iMac Pro is an alternative to the iMac that is more "high-performance" and rumors regarding the revival of this model pointed to a launch this year. Per the rumors that have been circulating, the iMac Pro could come with a mini LED backlit display.

Apple M2 Chips Could Launch as Early as June
When it came to the M2 roadmap, Gurman said that Apple could be releasing its M2 chip along with the new MacBook Air and other devices. The Mac Mini and the MacBook Pro could also be equipped with the Cupertino giant's future chipsets as well.
Gurman also claimed that an updated version of the 14-inch MacBook Pro and the 16-inch MacBook Pro could also be getting the M2 Pro and M2 Max chips. In addition, a dual M2 Ultra chip is also being expected for the upcoming Mac Pro.
Although an estimate as to when the M3 chips will launch remain vague, 9to5Mac said that the M2 chips could come as early as June. New Macs are expected to launch in the next couple of months equipped with M2 chips.
