Snapchat Plus free trial lets its users try out its exclusive features without having to spend some money.
And the process is pretty straightforward.
Snapchat Plus
Snapchat has recently introduced its premium subscription service, Snapchat Plus, requiring users to pay a monthly or annual fee to get their hands on some "exclusive features."
Social media and messaging platforms have started to embrace the subscription model, which is how Netflix grew to be the largest streaming service.
The microblogging service, Twitter, which faces a looming Elon Musk takeover, already has its subscription plan, the Twitter Blue, giving its users functions like the much-awaited "Undo Tweet."
Besides Twitter, privacy-focused messaging app Telegram also announced its premium subscription service. And this time, Snap is joining the bandwagon.
As per a news story by Comicbook.com, the Snapchat Plus service asks its users a monthly fee of $3.99 or $39.99 per year for some exclusive features.
The Snapchat Plus offerings include some features still in the experimental stage and might see the light of day for its free version, while othe functions would remain exclusive to paying subscribers.
Snapchat Plus Exclusive Features
One of the exclusive features allows Snapchat users to check out who viewed their stories more than once.
The whole thing would not be complete without a bunch of fancy icons and themes that free users are missing out.
Not to mention that Snap also introduces some sort of a creepy feature. "Ghost Trails" lets subscribers track the path of other users via Snap Map, but only if they willingly share their location.
Snap made the new subscription service official in its blog post last June 19.
The social media platform wrote, "today we're starting to roll out Snapchat+, a collection of exclusive, experimental, and pre-release features available in Snapchat for $3.99/month."
Snapchat Plus Free Trial
The best part about subscription services is that they typically offered as a free trial. It varies in duration, though. Some would last as long as six months, while others only have a seven-day test.
According to a recent report by Screen Rant, Snapchat joins the seven-day trial club with its Plus premium service, allowing its users to try it out for a week without any charge.
To do so, go straight to your Snapchat profile page. Then, select the Snapchat Plus banner. And from there, choose the seven-day free trial option.
It is worth noting that Snap would automatically charge free trial users $3.99 after a week, but they have an option to cancel it manually.
