Elon Musk confirmed that the Tesla Model S sedan and Model X crossover SUV are getting a regular push center horn on its Yoke steering wheel.
Tesla's Push Center Horn on Yoke Steering
As per a news story by Teslarati, the Yoke steering wheel of Tesla currently sports a force touch button for its horns, as well as its turns signals.
Thus, users have to touch and hold a button from the right side of the steering wheel to make it work.
It is just one of the controversies that the odd Yoke steering wheel of Tesla has been facing. One of the issues that its owners are complaining about is its impracticality when turning at lower speeds.
Nevertheless, the EV tech giant of billionaire Musk still ships its new Model S Plaid and Model X with the Yoke steering wheel, which has completely replaced the traditional round counterpart.
Since then, Tesla has consistently pushed for the Yoke steering wheel design, refusing to offer an option to opt for the traditional round look.
However, previous reports have suggested that the Yoke steering is getting a regular horn, which gets activated from the center of the wheel.
A Reddit user that goes by the name TeslaMotors first spotted a Tesla Model S that sports a sticker that mentions "Airbag horn enabled in SW-352573," according to a recent report by Tesla North.
Some assumed that the initials "SW" means steering wheel. It has already sparked speculations that Tesla is already testing a regular horn on the Yoke design, which activates when the driver presses the center where the airbag is found.

Elon Musk Confirms Center Horn Button on Yoke
This time around, the CEO and founder of Tesla himself, Musk, has confirmed in a tweet that the push button horn is coming to the Yoke steering wheel, which will be enabled via a firmware update.
The Tesla boss made the latest confirmation after Twitter user Ross Garber said that the placing of the horn in the Yoke steering is bad.
The billionaire responded to him, disclosing that all of the Tesla EVs "made since November also have a push center for horn." As such, it only needs a firmware update to activate the regular horn on their Yoke steering.
