Facebook's Clegg announced via Twitter that Meta has yet again extended their help to reduce the current efforts in the rising tension between the transcontinental country of Russia and its neighbor, Ukraine.

The company is doing massive actions that influence the war somehow, with its main focus being to reduce the conflict in its platform.

The focus of Facebook is to restrict Russian state media from accessing Facebook in Ukraine, and the reason for the social media is to help both countries in their crisis. The social media platform took active participation in this conflict, and its actions seen in recent times have focused on this issue, with Clegg bringing the news to people.

Meta Demonetizes Russian Accounts on the Platform

Meta said that it has ongoing efforts in Russia and Ukraine's war that erupted earlier this February and shocked the world of its happenings. The focus of Facebook is also to demonetize the Russian state media accounts in the social media and prevent it from earning money from its views, shares, and reactions from the public that uses it.

Meta and its Tech Focus Now

Meta is developing its apps and features more often now, and it already focuses on the metaverse and its future deployment for public use. One of the most popular features of the metaverse is Meta AI, and it is what CEO Mark Zuckerberg demonstrated last week to the public, focusing on a virtual world made by one's voice.

Facebook also sees massive development now, and it focuses on the new Reels available on the platform for users to browse and upload their portrait video uploads that resemble TikTok. The feature from Instagram transcended over to Facebook to bring a different experience to users, and it makes the Reels feature closer than ever.

However, social media still focuses on global events, and some say that this is the closest that Meta extends their help to the torn countries.

Meta actively participated in the current Russia and Ukraine conflict, and it is through the various efforts that the company made to help deescalate the present tension between both countries. For now, people have to face two conflicts at a time, and that is the global pandemic brought by COVID-19 and the European countries' tension.
