Fans of the Marvel film, Avengers: Infinity Wars, are still recovering from the unexpected ending that sent everyone into a frenzy. While those who worked on the action-packed superhero film have tried their best not to spoil anything, one of the main characters let slip that this is only the beginning.
The Beginning Of The End
At the end of Infinity Wars, Thanos (Josh Brolin), the film's main antagonist, successfully collected all of the infinity stones for his infinity gauntlet. Thanos didn't let anything or anyone get in the way of his "destiny," which was to solve the universe's growing population problem and, as a result, many fan-favorites of the series lost their lives.
The most shocking part was the ending of the intense film where Thanos activated the gauntlet and half of the world's population disintegrates; this includes half of the Avengers team.
Chris Hemsworth, who portrays the demi-god Thor, claims that the next Avengers film is even more shocking than its predecessor, but for various other reasons. During an interview with Esquire, the Australian actor stated that he was more excited for the second film and for fans of the film to watch it.
"That's what kind of blew me away the first time I read both scripts, is how they managed to orchestrate so many different characters but give them each their own separate shot and moments, and have it be elevated and feel fresh and unique-not just like a messy, thrown-together assembly of these guys," Hemsworth stated.
He continued that the 4th Avengers film will take the franchise to a different level and that he was excited to see the growth and evolution of the characters of the film.
What To Expect In The Next Film
There hasn't been an official synopsis released as of yet for the fourth Avengers film. However, this hasn't stopped the fans from formulating their own speculations as to what will happen in the next film.
One popular theory that has made its way around the internet is that the next film will involve some form of time travel after the Avengers defeat Thanos. Another popular theory is that each of the original Avengers will use one stone for their own purposes to ensure that no one else will use it for evil.
It looks like we'll have to wait until 2019 to see what exactly will happen next.
The untitled fourth Avengers film will be released in theaters on May 3, 2019. The next upcoming Marvel film to hit theaters will be Ant-Man and the Wasp this July.
