Far Cry 5, the latest entry in Ubisoft's over-the-top action franchise, is possible to beat in just 10 minutes.
Right after completing the game, players can unlock the secret ending. This gimmick is not the first of its kind as far as the Far Cry series is concerned. Ubisoft rolled out a similar trick in Far Cry 4 where players can beat the game in about the same time.
How To Unlock 'Far Cry 5' Secret Ending
Far Cry 5 takes place in Hope County, a small Montana town that has been taken over by Joseph Seed, the leader of the cult known as Eden's Gate. Somehow, the said cult accumulated a militia.
At the beginning of Far Cry 5, players will be part of a team of U.S. Marshals who will serve an arrest warrant against Seed in his church. Players will then have the option to place handcuffs on Seed, kicking off the action.
However, players may decide not to place Seed in handcuffs. When a player opts for this alternative action, the squad will start bickering with one another while Seed says some creepy statements. After about a minute and a half, a new scene will begin to play.
Players and their team will leave the church without Seed in custody, and the local sheriff will agree to it. "You put those cuffs on him, none of us get out of here alive," the sheriff says.
The credits will then roll, for the secret ending of Far Cry 5. Congratulations!
Of course, gamers will want to play through the main storyline of Far Cry 5 which takes about 25 hours to complete. After the credits end, players will be able to reload from the last checkpoint, letting them arrest Seed to start the real game.
For fans of the Far Cry series, it can be remembered that Far Cry 4 also pulled off something like this. At the beginning of the game, the antagonist Pagan Min tells the player to wait while he handles some business. Players would take the chance to escape and explore their surroundings. For those who decide to wait, Pagan Min comes back, becomes the player's best friend, and the end credits roll.
'Far Cry 5' Release Date Coming Soon
Far Cry 5 is set to release on March 27, finally bringing players to Hope County to face Seed and his militia.
Hopefully, the delayed Far Cry 5 release ensures that the game will live up to the hype. Gamers have been looking forward to the latest Far Cry game, which was supposed to be released on Feb. 27. The latest addition to the franchise features colorful characters from a group known as The Resistance who will help in taking down Seed.
Meanwhile, the DLC included in the Far Cry 5 season pass will escalate the craziness of the game by throwing in zombies, aliens, and the Vietnam War.
