Friday The 13th: The Game Single-Player Mode On Its Way: Here's The First Look

Gun Media is working to deliver its promise of adding a single-player campaign to Friday the 13th: The Game and the developer has uploaded a new video that provides a first look at the new mode.

Friday the 13th: The Game was initially intended to be a multiplayer-only title as the money raised by its Kickstarter campaign fell short of the stretch goal to add a single-player mode. However, Gun Media eventually decided that it will be launching single-player campaigns for the horror game.

First Look At 'Friday The 13th: The Game' Single Player Mode

Gun Media, through its official YouTube channel, uploaded a first look at the single-player challenges of Friday the 13th: The Game.

The video previews the tutorial for single-player mode. Players take on the role of the iconic killer Jason Voorhees in a challenge to kill a pair of teenagers, Adam and Bugsy, while they are trying to fix their broken-down car.

In the preview, Jason is first seen stalking the two teenagers. When Bugsy wanders off, he brutally impales him on a tree and sticks a branch into his head. Jason then moves toward Adam, who's still busy working on the underside the car. He decides to kill him by pulling out the car jack supporting the vehicle, crushing Adam.

According to community lead Daniel Nixon who is the narrator of the video, the trailer was "just a taste of what's to come." He also teased that the Friday the 13th: The Game single-player mode will offer numerous objectives per challenge, bigger levels, and multiple targets that will keep players' hands full.

Gun Media will provide more information and previews of the upcoming Friday the 13th: The Game single-player challenges through the developer's official forums and Twitter account. Players looking forward to the new mode should keep checking these channels for updates.

Friday The 13th: The Game is filled with various brutal ways to kill people, which is the trademark of the Friday the 13th franchise. In its multiplayer mode, players either play as Jason, who will be looking to kill everyone or as camp counselors of Camp Crystal Lake, who will be trying to survive or even kill Jason.

Gun Media also recently said that in response to server issues and player feedback, the developer is working to launch dedicated servers for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
