DC is planning to have two movies released in 2016, and Suicide Squad is one of the two. Both films are very important to the DC cinematic universe. Failure is not an option here as there might be no coming back.
New information was recently leaked about the Suicide Squad movie. Nothing that should be seen as overly revealing, but interesting nonetheless.
The movie will be directed by David Ayer, the same man who was behind Fury, that hit war film starring Brad Pitt. What we didn't know is that Warner Bros. is aiming to begin production around the middle of April, and everything should last until August.
That's four whole months of filming, so the actors and actresses will have a lot of work to do.
We understand that filming will take place in Pinewood in Toronto, Canada, and in several other areas around the city. Canadians should have a grand time catching a glimpse of what David Ayer and his team are up to once production begins next year. We can only hope everything goes according to plan without delay, similar to the delays that plagued Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.
For those who have been living under a rock all this time, rumors have been circling the web that Suicide Squad might star Jared Leto as the Joker and Margot Robbie as the Joker's other half, Harley Quinn.
If the rumors are true, it would be the first time we see Harley Quinn on the big screen, and the first time the Joker would be featured in a movie that does not involve Batman.
Furthermore, the rumors also claim that Will Smith is in talks with Warner Bros. to become Captain Boomerang, while Jai Courtney could end up playing Deadshot. We heard other rumors claiming that Will Smith could end up with the Deadshot role while Jai Courtney would have to settle for Captain Boomerang.
In some ways, we believe Will Smith might be Deadshot -- the actor prefers to be in the lead role.
