The leaks continue. Fresh new renders of forthcoming entry-level smartphones from Motorola have now surfaced online, offering everyone a 360-degree look at the Moto C and Moto C Plus.
New Moto C And Moto C Plus Renders Leaked
The 360-degree videos may not be the first to have been leaked, but they're certainly the best-looking ones we've seen so far. They offer a full view of the device's front and back panels and the sides.
Clearly, the back of the phone features a large camera module and not much else, which is appropriate for something that fits in the entry-level category. There's also a textured power button, at least on the Moto C, which is useful to distinguish the button from others, such as the volume rockers.
The renders, obtained by OnLeaks and Android Authority, show that Lenovo-owned Motorola has decided to keep both phones pretty similar in terms of design, although there are still noticeable differences: for one, the camera on the Moto C Plus has a bit of a bump, compared with the totally flat camera module on the Moto C.
Both devices will come with a Micro USB port as opposed to the more modern USB Type-C port, a 3.5 mm headphone jack, and removable back covers. They will reportedly come in a bunch of colorways, including black, red, gold, and silver.
Pricing and availability have yet to be announced, but rumors state that the phones will hover near the $100 mark, more or less.
Moto C And Moto C Plus Specs
In terms of specs, don't expect anything grand, of course, as these phones only target budget buyers looking for a decent smartphone. Both will sport 5-inch displays, but only the Moto C Plus comes with a 720p resolution. The base Moto C, by contrast, only packs a 480p resolution, which is quite unheard of for a smartphone in this age.
Both handsets pack in MediaTek chips, and 3G and 4G variants will be available.
The Moto C packs in 1 GB of RAM, while the Moto C Plus's RAM is bumped to 2 GB. But depending on the region, the Moto C Plus could still come with 1 GB of RAM. How will this be determined is yet to be disclosed.
As per internal storage, the Moto C will come with 8 or 16 GB, while the Moto C Plus will come with 16 GB. Both versions will feature expandable storage, although the capacity is yet to be cleared up.
On the front of both handsets is a 2-megapixel camera, while on the back is a 5-megapixel camera for the Moto C and an 8-megapixel camera for the Moto C Plus.
The Moto C Plus will come equipped with a whopping 4,000 mAh battery, while the Moto C will only come with a 2,350 mAh battery.
Even with the low specs, both phones will ship with Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box.
