Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Price Reduced As Galaxy S8 Launch Nears

Good news for all Samsung Galaxy S7 edge fans who are looking for a good bargain on the handset.

Amazon has come up with a special one-day offer that lowers the price of the smartphone by 21 percent. The unlocked version of the Galaxy S7 edge regularly retails for $739 on the retailer's website, but thanks to this deal, consumers will be able to save $153.

The Amazon offer is for the 32 GB variant of the smartphone, which is being offered in Titanium Silver, Gold, and Black Onyx. Those looking to snag the Blue Coral option will have to shell out $604.

At launch, the Galaxy S7 edge was priced at $769.99, but with the debut of the Galaxy S8 - which is believed to have a curved screen like the Galaxy S7 edge - drawing nearer, the price for the older-gen handset is seeing a slide.

Amazon Offer

With its initial price range of $739, the Galaxy S7 edge is available for this one-day deal at an offer price of only $586.50, making it more than 20 percent cheaper than the original offer.

The deal which is available for the 24 hours per reports, so those who want to get the Galaxy S7 edge at a discounted price are advised to hurry up and make their desired purchases.

Any Caveats?

Before making the purchase, the buyer should know that the Galaxy S7 edge model up for grabs from Amazon is the international variant of the handset. The seller clearly mentions that the smartphone will not come with any warranty.

"An international version item is a product not originally intended for sale in the U.S. Depending on the country of origin, international versions of a product may differ from domestic versions in their default settings, packaging, AC adapters, accessories, manufacturer warranties, and other feature," cautions the retailer.

That the smartphone will not have any warranty is risky as the consumer may have to pay out of pocket for any incurring issues since Samsung will not cover repairs.

Moreover, since this is the international variant, it is the Exynos-based model of the Galaxy S7 edge and not the Snapdragon 820 one. The handset will come pre-loaded with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow, but you will likely be able to upgrade this to Android 7.0 Nougat.
