Mariah Carey's modern Christmas classic "All I Want For Christmas Is You" dominates YouTube's top 10 most viewed Christmas videos, with three separate placings on the list for different versions of the song. One of those versions is the recent "Carpool Karaoke" all-star sing along of the tune, while the other features Justin Bieber, who tops the list with "Mistletoe."
Unless you've been hiding under a rock this Christmas season, you've been hearing Mariah Carey's Christmas hit "All I Want For Christmas Is You" all over the place. The diva has been capitalizing on the popularity of the song, which seems to just grow bigger every holiday season, by making a slew of public appearances and singing the song live on the VH1 Divas Holiday: Unsilent Night TV special.
New York's Empire State Building has even created a synchronized light show to the song, which runs through Christmas Day, after Carey flipped the switch in person a few days ago.
"All I Want For Christmas Is You" Scores Most YouTube Views
"All I Want For Christmas Is You" is also the most downloaded digital Christmas song of all time, so it's no wonder that the tune has simply dominated the list of YouTube Christmas songs most watched on the streaming video service, with three separate versions appearing in the top 10.
Mariah's first appearance on the list is at the number two position with its iconic original video clip, which now has over 250 million views.
Next up at number five is Carey's 2011 duet of the song with Justin Bieber in a "Superfestive" version that has amassed over 127 million views on YouTube. Rounding up Carey's top 10 appearances, in the number nine spot, is her just released all-star "Carpool Karaoke" sing along version which features host James Corden, Lady Gaga, Selena Gomez, Elton John, and more superstars taking turns singing "All I Want For Christmas Is You." That clip has already received over 22 million views in the week or so since it was posted.
Justin Bieber Tops The List
While the total views for Carey's three video clips make her song by far the most viewed Christmas tune on YouTube, it's her singing mate Bieber who actually holds the number one spot on the list, with his over 260 million views for "Mistletoe" just edging out Carey's original "All I Want For Christmas Is You" video.
Wham!'s "Last Christmas" comes in at number three, while singing group Pentatonix has three songs in the top 10. "Santa Tell Me" by Ariana Grande is the newest song on the list at number six, and although her and Carey's voices have been incessantly compared in the media, Carey recently insisted that she's "not familiar" with the budding diva, a dubious claim she has also famously made about Jennifer Lopez.
