Angel City's Most Wanted, the first DLC for Titanfall 2, is all set to be released on Nov. 30, which is just a month from the Oct. 28 launch date of the highly acclaimed first-person shooter.
Respawn Entertainment said in June that all DLC that the developer will release for Titanfall 2 will be free, and it is making good on its promise so far. Angel City's Most Wanted will be free to download for all gamers who own copies of Titanfall 2.
What's Inside Angel City's Most Wanted
As detailed in an official blog post, the foremost inclusion in the first free DLC for Titanfall 2 is the Angel City map from Titanfall. The map was revealed in October as the first one that will be added to the game post-launch, with players who preordered Titanfall 2 to gain access to it on Nov. 30 and all others to do so by Dec. 3.
Also included in the first DLC is the Wingman Elite Pistol, a weapon with details that are still unclear. It could be a new weapon that is a variant of the Wingman Pistol, or it could simply be a cosmetic upgrade.
Angel City's Most Wanted will also introduce new Titan Kits, one for each playable Titan in the game. Among the new Titan Kits are the Refraction Lens for the Ion, which allows the Splitter Rifle to split into five ways, and the Phase Reflex for the Ronin which phases the Titan out of dangerous situations.
Titanfall 2 Skin Store
One of the most important additions to Titanfall 2 with Angel City's Most Wanted is the skin store, which will allow players to spend money to acquire strictly cosmetic upgrades.
The inclusion of microtransactions in Titanfall 2 was expected since Respawn announced that all DLC for the game will be free, as that would be the only way for the developer to acquire the funding needed to keep releasing content for the game. The decision of Respawn to limit the microtransactions only to cosmetic items such as camouflage and Prime Titans, which are Titans with new looks and assassinations, will keep the playing field level, as gamers will not be able to simply buy their way into more powerful weapons and Titans.
Other Plans For Titanfall 2
Respawn is planning several other ways to keep players engaged in Titanfall 2, including upcoming twists to multiplayer mode through semi-regular events that change up the rules, double experience weekends, recognition for the game's top Networks and random giveaways through the developer's official Twitter account.
