We know that Stranger Things will be back for a second season, but for fans of Netflix's latest breakout series this means a long wait to find out if we will see a return of Eleven or not.
Despite that fact that it appears like Netflix is casting other "Elevens" for season two, there is a good chance that Millie Bobby Brown's character comes back into the story line in some shape or form since she was such a loved character. Then again, we all know what happened to Barb so this logic might not ring so true.
There was lots we learned about Eleven in season one, such as that she has superhero strength, loves to indulge in Eggos, enjoys getting dolled up and is super loyal to her friends.
But there are still lots of questions surrounding this character, mainly where did she really come from, and is she still alive?
According to one fan, Eleven does survive and grows up to be another popular female character we all know and love: Elle Woods from Legally Blonde.
On the surface, many might think El and Ellie could not be more different. But after diving into this theory, it kind of does make sense. At least it does to its author Kaitlyn Plyley.
The Australian writer published a piece of fan fiction based on the theory that Eleven grows up to the iconic character from Legally Blonde.
The transformation wouldn't come until El is all grown up, but it started when she put her blonde wig on the for first time and saw the way Mike looked at her.
El later gets adopted by parents who know nothing about her past in Indiana except that she was a traumatized orphan. She changed the spelling of her name to Elle to better fit in, and took on the last name Woods, in honor of the place where the boys found her.
"Elle surrounded herself with soft, pink things - fluffy pillows, sweet fragrances - and avoided anything that would make her seem intimidating. It took her a long time to work out that she was still trying to prove she wasn't the monster," Plyley writes.
However, her breakup with Warner hurt deep, especially since "friends don't lie." This ignited the fire back into the peaceful Elle who really knew that she "could break arms with a tilt of her head." Instead she proved herself using her brains, all with the beauty of her bouncing blonde hair. She was even able to stand up to bullies in the courtroom to tell them "enough."
Both the characters from Stranger Things and Legally Blonde find that sometimes you must have faith in people, but most importantly, you must always have faith in yourself.
The fan fiction does actually make a lot of sense for those familiar with both strong-minded female characters.
Stranger Things will return for its second season in 2017 on Netflix.
