Affordable LG K10 Headed To AT&T This Week: Price, Specs And Availability

Are you on the lookout for a robust Android-powered handset that does not burn a hole in your wallet and touts decent specs? If you answered yes, then you're in luck as U.S. network operator AT&T is set to offer the LG K10 this week at an extremely attractive price.

On Monday, July 18, AT&T announced that its variant of the LG K10 smartphone will be available for purchase on Friday, July 22. The carrier will also be selling an LG tablet dubbed G Pad X 8.0.

"The LG K10 and G Pad X 8.0 offer high performance, portability, and convenience, but at a price that won't put a dent in your wallet. Our customers want to enjoy the features of high end products, without having to pay an arm and a leg. We've heard their feedback, and have worked with LG to give them what they want," noted Jeff Bradley, SVP Device and Network Services Marketing, AT&T.

The phablet has been priced reasonably and could find plenty of takers as it will cost only $6 per month for a period of 30 months. If you do the math, you're essentially paying just $180 for two and a half years!

If the price alone is not enough to entice you, perhaps the specs of the LG K10 will change your mind.

The LG K10 sports a 5.3-inch HD screen with a 1,280 x 720 pixel resolution, which is not bad at all for a budget offering. Under the hood, the U.S. variant of the handset houses a quad-core Snapdragon 410 processor which clocks at 1.27 GHz. It also has 16 GB of onboard storage, which is expandable via a microSD card to a maximum 32 GB, and 1.5 GB of RAM.

The phablet packs in an 13-megapixel primary camera and a 5-megapixel selfie snapper. The LG K10 is also equipped with support for Gesture Shot, which means you can click a picture by simply raising your hand to the secondary camera. Alternately, you can yell out "smile" or "cheese" to click selfies!

The budget handset also has a removable 2,300 mAh battery and comes pre-loaded with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow.

The LG K10 is a part of the company's K-series and was unveiled by the company earlier in January this year at the CES 2016.

AT&T is not the only U.S. carrier to offer the LG K10. Earlier in May this year, T-Mobile started selling the handset for $6.88 per month for 24 months. The T-Mobile pricing works out to $165 for 24 months, making it cheaper than AT&T's offer. Purchasing the smartphone outright from T-Mobile costs $164.99.
