Another minute and 55 seconds have been added to Titanfall 2's first multiplayer trailer. It offers a better look at the core gameplay, though it's still painted in makeup and mascara.
This more robust trailer of multiplayer gameplay is just shy of 4 minutes long. And while the most notable highlights were included in the first trailer, this extended look offers more perspective on world traversal and special abilities.
One of the things that stand out more in the b-roll multiplayer trailer is Titanfall 2's slide mechanic, which might remind some gamers of sliding in Tribes — just through in some maps with steep hills, a mobile flag and some endearingly bad dialogue.
Another notable means for moving through the game world is the grappling hook, which was shown off a bit more in the trailer fattened with b-roll footage. And it doesn't appear to be in the game just because.
Going by what's been revealed so far, the grappling hook, set to star in the next Call of Duty game and LawBreakers, looks to compliment pilots' jet pack by closing gaps and making high places more accessible.
Chaining that grappling hook and slide mechanic with jet pack-fueled wall running essentially expands the game's skill requirement while keeping it accessible those who just want to dive in every now and then.
The additional footage of multiplayer play also offers a longer look at the game's new titans and their unique ways to lay waste, along with more third-person finishers.
Titanfall Legends secured permission from EA and Respawn Entertainment to share the b-roll footage, so there's no need to worry that it'll be pulled at any moment.
Beyond its multiplayer, Titanfall 2 will come with a single-player campaign this time around and the story will explore the ethics of the titans and their AI systems. While the first game fell off the radar after a strong start, the addition of the campaign and deeper gameplay made Titanfall 2 one of the hottest games of E3 2016.
