Comedian Steve Love has made a bit of a name for himself with his astoundingly accurate Game of Thrones character impressions.
From Jon Snow to Varys, Love does nearly every character, and he does them all well. In fact, he's so good at mimicking the characters of the show that he was invited to Jimmy Kimmel Live last year to show off some of his Jon Snow impression skills.
Looks like the Game of Thrones showrunners were impressed, because Love recently appeared in the latest episode of the show for a one-off role.
Spoilers for the latest episode of Game of Thrones below!
Love says he was contacted by the Game of Thrones producers shortly after appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live, and was asked if he would be interested in appearing on the show. Love's answer was, unsurprisingly, a resounding "Yes!"
"So then I contacted them back afterwards and was like 'I don't know what your plan is for me, but it would really mean a lot to me if you gave me one of those trademark gruesome death scenes,'" Love says (via Uproxx).
He then later received word that his wish would be granted. He would appear in one episode and "bite the bullet," according to producers. The show flew Love out to Northern Ireland for filming, and the rest, as they say, is history.
So, who did Love get the chance to play on the show? He appeared as one of the members of the Brotherhood without Banners, specifically the young man who is swiftly decapitated by a vengeful Hound out for blood. That certainly qualifies as a gruesome death, as his character's head is swiftly cleaved from his shoulders via Sandor Clegane's axe, like so:
That's one way to make an impression. Just prior to having his head removed, Love's character was the victim of a prank by one of his fellow brothers in arms, who attempted to teach the young man "how to kiss." You can watch Love's appearance on Jimmy Kimmel below.
