T-Mobile promises the best trade-in value as Apple launches the iPhone 6

With Apple launching the iPhone 6, the company's new flagship smartphone is expected to displace older mobile devices from people's grasps.

There's already a lot of older iPhones showing up on listing services like Craigslist and eBay as smartphone owners attempt to raise funds to pay for an upgrade. However, if you'd rather not deal with the hassle, T-Mobile promises the most profitable way of getting rid of your aging Apple device.

T-Mobile has vowed to beat the trade-in offer from competing major carriers. In a press release, the company said that it would continually monitor the offers from Verizon, AT&T and Sprint to provide customers with a better offer for their old devices.

"We're going to see some of the most phenomenal devices ever in the coming months, and that means a whole lot of Americans trading-in their devices and upgrading," said T-Mobile President and CEO John Legere. "For years, the big carriers have been ripping off their customers with low-ball trade-in values, so we're putting an end to that and guaranteeing we'll give customers what they deserve - the best value in the industry."

The offer is not just for older iPhones, it's for any device that may be of value. If you're curious what your phone is worth, you can check here. T-Mobile said that it will monitor prices from competitors every day to make sure it has the best offer. In case you find a better deal from another carrier within seven days of trading in your device, T-Mobile has promised to pay you back the difference and give you $50 for your trouble.

While T-Mobile's offer sounds tempting, know that it's not the place to get top dollar for your device. But if you'd rather not make deals with strangers online, T-Mobile's offer may be the best way for covering part of the steep price of an Apple smartphone. For a hassle-free option, the price is not that bad. On its website, the company offered $330 for a T-Mobile 32 gigabyte iPhone 5s. This was much better than the price from trade-in website Gazelle, which offered $220 for the older smartphone.
