The Destiny April update is already imminent, and this will throw in a bevy of PlayStation-exclusive weapons and armors such as the Zen Meteor Exotic Rifle, Velumbra Sparrow and more.
When the upcoming update was earlier announced, it was revealed that some exclusive contents are set to arrive on PlayStation versions. On April 8, Sony detailed on the PlayStation Blog what PS4 and PS3 players of Destiny: The Taken King should expect on the upcoming patch.
Let's make a rundown of these new weapons and armors.
1. Exotic Sniper Rifle: Zen Meteor - this weapon is gained by decrypting Exotic or Legendary Engrams. It can also be snagged via other sources of Year-Two Exotics.
This weapon has its perks, including:
Dynamite - this gives gamers explosive rounds. It has rapid kills with every round in the clip load an extra, higher-damage round for five seconds.
Laser Beam - the extra round from Dynamite triggers a massive explosion.
2. Sparrow: Velumbra - to get this weapon, gamers have to complete the "Fight Fire with Fire" mission. This mission seems part of the Essence of Darkness quest.
3. Warlock Armor: Barkhan Dune 1 - Players can get this armor by decrypting Sublime Engrams.
4. Hunter Armor: Long Tomorrow 9G - One can grab this armor, again, by decrypting Sublime Engrams.
5. Titan Armor: Jovian Guard - Decrypt Sublime Engrams and gamers will have this armor.
These new gear will be packed into the update set to be pushed out on April 12.
Sony, of course, does not go into the details as to when the new gear will be made available on other platforms, eventually, it is anticipated that these will land on Xbox One and Xbox 360. Contents that were earlier rolled out on PlayStation versions came to Xbox one year after.
While we have yet to see the patch notes of the new Destiny update, word has it that it will include new missions, increase the max Light level and more.
"We're really excited to provide you with new things to do and new things to earn in the April update," says Bungie in a statement to Sony. "The Reef is about to become the center of action in the game again, and the party wouldn't be the same with you."
