T-Mobile's offer for a free one-year subscription to MLB.TV Premium has started, and interested subscribers have until April 10 to avail it.
The free subscription, announced in March, is offered in accordance with the Un-Carrier's return as an official sponsor of Major League Baseball.
"For the last three years MLB has been with us every step of the way as we have re-written the rules of wireless. This year we're doubling down - and expanding the relationship even further to include the Home Run Derbies and free MLB.TV for customers," said John Legere, T-Mobile's CEO and president.
To avail the free subscription, which carries a value of $109.99, here are the steps that T-Mobile subscribers should follow.
- Disconnect from a Wi-Fi network, if connected to one, and make sure that the device is connected to the T-Mobile network.
- Access the MLB section of T-Mobile's website.
- Look for the Sign Up button and click on it.
- Users with active MLB.com accounts can sign in. For subscribers that do not have one yet, they can set up a new account for free under the Register option.
- Once the MLB.com account is signed in, users should then download the MLB.com At Bat app, and then log in using their MLB.com account.
Through MLB.TV, the league's official streaming platform, fans can watch every out-of-market regular season game, along with the All-Star Game and the World Series.
T-Mobile subscribers watching the games through their free MLB.TV subscription will also be able to access the content through the Binge On feature of the carrier, which will allow them to save their allocated data.
In addition to the free MLB.TV subscription, T-Mobile also announced that it will be the title sponsor for the Home Run Derby during the MLB All-Star Week, along with the Junior Home Run Derby, which is a new nationwide contest for both boys and girls.
