AT&T Unite Explore Rugged Mobile Wi-Fi Hotspot Will Keep You Connected And Can Charge Your Smartphone

AT&T will soon offer its very first rugged wireless hotspot, dubbed Unite Explore, that will keep you connected and charge your smartphone as well.

Those who are in search for another hotspot option, and willing to shell out $49.99, can buy the device starting later this week. AT&T will offer the Unite Explore with a two-year contract.

This rugged portable hotspot is water and shock resistant, and dustproof, meaning it can “handle the bumps of everyday life.” Even if users are in dusty or wet conditions, this device can endure spills, drops and sand.

AT&T notes, though, that the device is not going to operate under water and that it must be dried as fast as possible when soaked. Moreover, the device is also shock resistant if it is dropped from less than 4 feet and onto a flat surface.

This device has 22 hours of battery life on a single charge. It can likewise support up to 15 Wi-Fi enabled devices, such as tablets, laptops, smartphones, gaming consoles and more. This wireless hotspot rocks a screen showing the Wi-Fi name, Wi-Fi password, network connections, battery life, and the amount of data that already burned.

Those who are planning to head to a camping trip or hike can take advantage of this portable hotspot from the carrier.

That’s not all the features AT&T has packed into this device. Other functionalities of Unite Explore include:

– Unite Explore boasts advanced parental controls. Through this feature, one can block specific websites depending on their content.

– It has a Guest Wi-Fi feature, enabling users to set the optional timer. This will automatically cut off users after a specific amount of time predetermined by its owner.

–It does offer international roaming compatibility on 4G LTE.

– It packs in BatteryBoost feature that help keep users’ smartphones charged.

If you are interested to snag one, you can purchase Unite Explore via AT&T stores and website, beginning on Friday.

In 2015, AT&T announced a Wi-Fi hotspot that plugs into the vehicle’s OBD-II port that is available in most cars built after 1996.
