The Huawei P9 and its two siblings, the P9 Max and P9 Lite, are now listed on Chinese reseller OppoMart's website, complete with specs and pricing details.
Huawei has a big event scheduled for April 6 in London, where it is widely expected to take the wraps off its latest P9 flagship series. Rumors about the Huawei P9 have been making rounds for a good while now, trying to paint a picture of what to expect, and more information now hits the scene.
OppoMart lists the Huawei P9, P9 Max and P9 Lite on its website, detailing the handsets' core specifications and respective price tags ahead of the official release next month.
The accuracy of OppoMart's listings is not guaranteed, but here's what the retailer reveals about the three upcoming handsets in the Huawei P9 series.
Huawei P9 Specs and Price
The "standard" Huawei P9 will reportedly feature a 5.2-inch full HD display (1,920 x 1,080 pixels), a HiSilicon Kirin 950 octa-core processor based on 64-bit architecture, and 3 GB of RAM. The handset further packs 32 GB of internal storage and a 12-megapixel dual-camera setup on its rear with optical image stabilization (OIS), laser autofocus and dual-LED flash.
OppoMart lists the Huawei P9 with a $499 price tag.
Huawei P9 Max Specs and Price
The Huawei P9 Max, as the name itself suggests, is the larger version of the regular P9. This model sports a massive 6.2-inch display with a higher QHD resolution (2,560 x 1,440 pixels) and heftier specs all around.
The P9 Max packs a 64-bit octa-core Kirin 955 processor, 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage space. On the camera front, it features the same 12-megapixel dual rear camera combo as the regular P9.
The higher-end Huawei P9 Max will apparently go up to $699, which is quite reasonable for these specifications.
Huawei P9 Lite Specs and Price
Lastly, the Huawei P9 Lite should come as an upper-mid-ranger of sorts, featuring more modest specifications compared to the two other P9 models. This variant is expected to have a 5-inch full HD (1,080p) display, a 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 processor, 2 GB of RAM and just 16 GB of storage.
The mid-range specs will accommodate a more affordable price tag, as OppoMart lists the Huawei P9 Mart at a $299 price point.
All three smartphones in the Huawei P9 series will reportedly rock sleek metal builds and rear-mounted fingerprint sensors. Android Marshmallow and USB Type-C should also be in the mix, at least for the higher-end models.
It remains to be seen whether the leaked specs turn out to be accurate, so make sure to take everything with a grain of salt until official confirmation.
