We already know lots about the latest Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game coming from Activison and Platinum Games, but one thing we don't know is the video game's exact release date. That is, until now.
In a new trailer released for TMNT: Mutants in Manhattan, we have learned that the game will be released on May 24.
Even before the game was formally announced, details were spilling, such as leaked screen shots that revealed Mutants in Manhattan would have a cel-shaded art style to have it look like the old cartoons. This didn't come to much surprise since Platinum Games previously used this same artistic style in its recent title Transformers Devastation.
Fans of the franchise also got to see an early look of the gameplay in this four-player co-op game that showcased Leonardo's combat moves, revealing what we could look forward to in the brawler title.
The new trailer reveals Leonardo, Donatello, Michelangelo and Raphael's smooth moves as they face new challenges in New York. The emphasis is that the turtles are stronger when together, and it looks like they will need all the help they can get when battling serious boss fights against villains that include Bebop and Rocksteady, Krang and Karai. Gamers can also be on the lookout for the boss fight that features Shredder as Super Shredder.
The game synopsis is as follows:
Battle alongside your brothers through the sewers, subways, and streets of NYC to take down Shredder and Krang's evil organization, Foot by Foot. Unleash custom combat skills and powerful team combos to save Manhattan from the overwhelming dark forces growing in the shadows.
Mutants in Manhattan will be released in May for PC, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS4 and PS3.
