Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge preorders have already made their way to T-Mobile, AT&T and Sprint customers. Now, Verizon and Best Buy have followed suit and are shipping the smartphones ahead of Samsung's official March 11 release date.
After months of rumors and speculation, Samsung unveiled its 2016 flagship smartphones, the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge at Mobile World Congress in February. The company announced the handsets would be released worldwide on March 11, and Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile and Sprint quickly released statements confirming they would make the handsets available on their networks and announced preorder and pricing details.
While Samsung set the global release date of the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge for March 11, T-Mobile became the first U.S. carrier to ship the smartphones ahead of schedule, with some customers receiving the devices as early as Feb. 29.
Several of our readers tipped us off on March 1 that AT&T and Sprint had also begun shipping Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge orders early. While this news pleased Sprint and AT&T customers, Verizon subscribers began to wonder if they might get lucky and receive their Galaxy S7 or S7 Edge ahead of March 11.
Verizon customers will be pleased to learn that the carrier has followed T-Mobile, AT&T and Sprint in shipping its Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge variants ahead of Samsung's official release date.
Retailer Best Buy has also joined in on the Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge early release party. It has started to notify customers who preordered the devices that they can come in and pick up their Galaxy S7 or S7 Edge early.
