Supergirl Faces White Martian In New Promo For Next Week's Episode

Supergirl sure has her hands full defending National City from mad men with toys, aliens and other nefarious beings. And it doesn't look like she'll get a break soon: next week, she must face White Martian, the villain responsible for the annihilation of Hank's people.

In a new trailer promoting the episode, "Strange Visitor From Another Planet," White Martian kidnaps an anti-alien politician and makes life difficult for Kara and company.

The clip also shows how aliens can take on the guise of other people, too, as already seen with Hank, who viewers know is actually J'onn J'onzz, aka Martian Manhunter.

Here's the official description for "Strange Visitor From Another Planet:"

"Kara must help Hank face his painful past when a White Martian, a member of the alien race that wiped out his people, kidnaps Senator Miranda Crane (Tawny Cypress), an anti-alien politician."

Of course, Kara must also deal with Winn's confession from this week's episode. Winn finally told Kara how he felt, but Kara made it clear that she doesn't want their current relationship, as friends, to change. Of course, it's also likely that she harbors feelings for James Olsen.

Then there's Maxwell Lord to deal with, too: he doesn't like Supergirl and he's obviously up to something. And who was that mysterious woman in Lord's labs seen at the end of last week's episode?

"Cat coins her Bizarro, which is very appropriate," said Supergirl executive producer Andrew Kreisberg to Entertainment Weekly. "As she says, I can name Supergirl, I can name her enemies. The biggest thing about it that was a surprise for us as we constructed the character and the arc was how sad Bizzaro is. In a way, we sort of think about her like Frankenstein['s monster]. She's a monster, but she has a pure child's heart."

So when will viewers next see Bizarro-Girl? The description for episode 12 teases that Kara will finally meet her twisted double on Feb. 1.

"Kara faces off against her mirror image when Bizarro (Hope Lauren), a twisted version of Supergirl, sets out to destroy her. Also, Kara grows closer with Cat's son, Adam."

Supergirl airs Monday nights on CBS.
