ZTE is making the final model of its Axon flagship series count.
On Friday, the mobile-device company announced the launch of the Axon Max, alongside the Global VIP Passport service, designed to cater to owners of Axon phones.
"Our flagship series is the core of ZTE's strategy," ZTE CEO Adam Zeng said as part of the company's press release statement. "The Axon Max may be the final building block of this bold line of devices, but it is really just the next step in what we believe will be a far-reaching dynasty of premium products with vision for what tomorrow's users need."
The Axon Max phablet boasts a six-inch, 2.5D Super Amoled FHD screen and runs on Android 5.1 + MiFavor 3.5 operating system.
The device is equipped with a high-powered 16 megapixels on the rear and 13 megapixels on the front, in addition to offering Hi-Fi audio playback and recording.
The Axon Max also touts an ultra-large 4140mAh battery and five energy-saving modes, extending that battery life up to 50 percent. The Axon Max also supports Quick Charge 2.0, which allows rapid replenishment from 0 to 60 percent in 30 minutes of charge time.
Like previous Axon models from ZTE, the Max is made from Boeing 787 aircraft-grade aluminum-titanium alloy and can be unlocked via three different kinds of biometric authentications including fingerprint, voice control and eye-scan.
