Apple is tapping into Hollywood star power to promote its latest iPhone 6s smartphone. The company has roped in actor Penelope Cruz and Iron Man fame director Jon Favreau.
On Tuesday, Dec. 1, Apple release two new adverts for the iPhone 6s entitled "Hey Siri" and "Ridiculously Powerful" on YouTube. The two ads are part of the company's ongoing campaign to promote the iPhone 6s with the tagline: "The only thing that's changed is everything."
The new "Hey Siri" ad stars Penelope Cruz and highlights the voice recognition capabilities of the iPhone 6s.
The advert starts by narrating that not much has changed in the latest iPhone 6s and then goes one to highlight the features of the smartphone.
The always-on Hey Siri feature's usefulness is showed off as Cruz is shown trying to figure out the answers to a crossword puzzle. She enlists the help of the intelligent voice assistant Siri to figure out the answer to the clue "who was the prime minister of Britain in 1868?"
While Siri is available on older iPhones as well, the feature is always-on on the iPhone 6s, even when the handset is not plugged in. The Hey Siri feature is hands-free and users can speak to the voice assistant without pressing the home button.
Previously, Apple's Hey Siri feature for the iPhone 6s has been endorsed by Oscar winner Jamie Foxx and comedian Bill Hader in different ads as well. Check out the advert below.
The second advert from Apple i.e. "Ridiculously Powerful" shows off the versatility and speed of the iPhone 6s. The ad features Favreau who seems impressed by seeing a student film that has been shot on the iPhone 6s.
Favreau even forgets in the process that the device is merely a phone and believes it to be a video monitor.
The advert ends on the note that "other than being the most powerful iPhone ever, not much has changed."
