Toyota makes scolding unruly kids while driving a lot easier

How many times have you been driving and the kids in the backseat are rowdy, but there is little you can do because the volume is just too loud? Now, Toyota is making raising one's voice a whole lot easier with a new microphone that allows for more direct driver-to-passenger conversation.

Toyota's 2015 Sienna will boast the new feature Driver Easy Speak, which will allow for the driver's voice to be propelled into the back of the vehicle through a dedicated microphone.

"Today's parents are embracing their life stage and those relatable family moments that make us laugh and feel connected," said Jack Hollis, VP of Toyota Division marketing at Toyota Motor Sales, in a statement.

"The 2015 Toyota Sienna seizes that same spirit of fun, everyday experiences with family and fits into the modern family dynamic. That is why Toyota chose to introduce the newest 'Swagger Wagon' to the world through a creative lens."

The minivan is a new innovative take on the traditional family vehicle and with Driver Easy Speak adding to its features, it is likely to be a top choice for families, especially those in rural and suburban America.

"The available Dual-View, Blu-ray rear seat entertainment system makes the Sienna a kid-favorite destination. More soft-touch materials throughout and an optional black leather interior help families' embrace the minivan lifestyle," the company says.

It's all part of Toyota's continued push to innovate their vehicles for the specific demographic they are attempting to attract. As families look to vehicles for safety, the new mic feature should help increase the communication ability of parents in the front while reducing stress on lengthy trips.
