Do you know someone who's really into Batman? Are you looking for the perfect gift for a fan of the caped crusader? Why not give the gift of the Dark Knight himself: a life-size replica of the character as seen in Batman: Arkham Knight.
This Batman stands tall at 6 feet, 2 inches and even has a cape. It's perfect for putting in the living room to protect against Gotham City's villains or in the front yard to deter potential criminals.
Whatever the case, the NECA figure sports Batman's costume from the video game Batman: Arkham Knight. Designers created the figure using the digital files created specifically for the game with foam rubber and latex and hand-painted every detail. The cape is even carefully tailored and "swirling."
Of course, it's likely that this life-size Dark Knight will come with an expensive price tag, although NECA has not yet released the actual cost for the figure. However, the NECA website does mention that the figure ships in two parts, which means it requires some assembly.
Of course, if the life-size version is a bit too much, there's always the ¼ scale action figure, which releases this week in retail stores that carry NECA products. That version is only 18" tall, but still has "incredible detail that's entirely accurate to the in-game model."
"Batman features over 25 points of articulation and includes Batarang and grapnel gun accessories, multiple interchangeable hands and a soft fabric cape," writes NECA on the product description. "Window box packaging."
The smaller figure ships this week to retailers. If you're waiting for the life-size replica, though, that won't arrive in stores until March, 2016.
Batman: Arkham Knight made headlines this year when players reported that the PC version of the title came broken, full of bugs and glitches that made it unplayable. Even after Warner Bros. pulled that version of the game and then re-released a patched version of it, players still complain that it has major problems.
"We worked hard to get the game to live up to the standard you deserve but understand that many of you are still experiencing issues," wrote Warner Bros. on the game's Steam page. "Until the end of 2015, we will be offering a full refund on Batman: Arkham Knight PC, regardless of how long you have played the product. You can also return the Season Pass along with the main game (but not separately)."
Batman: Arkham Knight is also available on the Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
