4.7-inch and 5.5-inch iPhone 6 release date and price in China leaks

A promotional flyer for the iPhone 6 launch in China has leaked. The document lists pricing and release date for both the 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch iPhone 6.

When Apple unveiled the iPhone 4S on Oct. 4, 2011, the company for the first time broke from its traditional summer release of its latest iPhone. It was also the first iPhone reveal that Apple's late CEO, Steve Jobs didn't attend. Jobs had announced in August 2011 that he was stepping down as CEO and issued a resignation letter to the company he founded due to his health condition.

"I have always said if there ever came a day when I could no longer meet my duties and expectations as Apple's CEO, I would be the first to let you know. Unfortunately, that day has come," wrote Steve Jobs.

No one could have predicted that the day after Tim Cook took the stage for the first time as Apple's CEO to unveil the iPhone 4S and its virtual assistant Siri, Jobs would succumb to his illness and pass away on October 5. Since then, Apple has continued to release new iPhones in the fall and it's gearing up for another fall launch of two new iPhones, a 4.7-inch handset and 5.5-inch phablet.

A promotional flyer for the 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch iPhone 6 has popped up on Chinese forum site Weibo [subscription required]. The document contains some information in regards to expected pricing for both models as well as when the new smartphones will go on sale in China and likely the rest of the world.

If this document contains any truth, it looks like the rumors of the 5.5-inch iPhone 6 possibly being delayed is just that, a rumor. The 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch iPhone 6 will reportedly go on sale on September 19. The date lines up with the iPhone 5s' release on September 20 and iPhone 5's release date of September 21.

The 4.7-inch iPhone 6 will reportedly carry an unsubsidized price of $850, while the 5.5-inch iPhone 6 phablet will reportedly retail for $1012.

A report from GSMInsider claims that Apple has already sent the iPhone 6 to China Mobile and China Unicom to test the 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch iPhone 6's 4G LTE compatibility on its networks.

Whenever it comes to Apple iPhone 6 leaks, it's always best to take these reports with a huge grain of salt. We'll be sure to keep you updated on all iPhone 6 news as it happens.
