A case manufacturer who has a great track record of leaking next-generation iPhones has done it again. Spigen's iPhone 6 cases are available on Amazon and the company lists the 5.5-inch model as iPhone 6 Air.
As we get closer to September we can expect to be inundated with details regarding Apple's next-generation iPhone 6. The company is widely expected to release two models and both will have larger displays than previous iPhones. There will reportedly be a 4.7-inch smartphone and 5.5-inch phablet.
Leaked images have shown how both iPhone 6 models will compare in size and how both handsets stack up to current flagship Android smartphones like the Samsung Galaxy S5, HTC One M8 and Galaxy Note 3. Now, a popular case manufacturer who has accurately leaked previous iPhone designs ahead of Apple's official unveiling has just listed some of its upcoming iPhone 6 cases on Amazon with date of availability and lists the 5.5-inch iPhone 6 as "iPhone 6 Air."
In a move that probably won't make Apple happy, case manufacturer Spigen is attempting to get an early lead when it comes to having iPhone 6 cases in stock for both the 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch iPhone 6. The company has made its iPhone 6 cases available for pre-order on Amazon. The iPhone 6 mockups used in the cases match previously reported details and images, including the power button on both smartphones relocating from the top of the device to its right side in order to make waking the larger iPhones easier.
Spigen also seems to be adding more fuel to the fire of recent reports that claim Apple will officially call the 5.5-inch iPhone 6, "iPhone 6 Air" and the 4.7-inch will simply be named "iPhone 6." The cases are available for pre-order and Spigen claims the cases will be in stock on Tuesday Sept. 30, which could imply Apple plans on releasing both the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Air on that date. It would be a little out of character for Apple to launch its latest iPhones on a Tuesday; the company typically launches new iPhones on a Friday.
As always, take these kinds of reports with a grain of salt for now. We'll keep you updated on all iPhone 6 news as it become available.
