Images of Apple's upcoming 4.7-inch iPhone 6 have been leaking for several weeks. The latest leaked images show the 4.7-inch smartphone with its larger 5.5-inch counterpart.
September is shaping up to be an exciting time for smartphone fans. Samsung is widely expected to unveil its next-generation Galaxy Note 4 phablet and premium Galaxy F / S5 Prime at IFA in Berlin, which will take place Sept. 5 - Sept. 10. The company used last year's show to launch the Galaxy Note 3 and its first smartwatch, the Galaxy Gear.
Samsung isn't going to be alone in announcing two highly anticipated smartphones. Apple is also expected to officially launch the 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch iPhone 6 at an event in September. Images of the 4.7-inch iPhone 6 have been leaking at a steady rate and have been photographed in comparison shots with the 4-inch iPhone 5s and 5.1-inch Samsung Galaxy S5. A new set of images show the 5.5-inch iPhone 6 for the first time and how it compares to the 4.7-inch model.
Sonny Dickson, who has been accurate with his iOS predictions in the past, has just tweeted shots of the reportedly 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch iPhone 6. The images show the front and back of both devices and how they compare in overall size. The smartphones follow the same rounded design of both the iPad Air and iPad mini. The images also show the new side power button, which has moved from the top of the smartphone to its right side, making it easier to wake the device with one hand.
Apple is expected to use 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch 1704 x 960 Retina Sapphire glass displays, which will make the smartphone's screens more durable, scratch-resistant and accurate compared to previous iPhones. The smartphone will be powered by a faster next-generation Apple A8 processor and M8 co-processor. Many reports claim that it will retain the same 8-megapixel rear camera currently found on the iPhone 5s and also include OIS (optical image stabilization). There are also rumors that Apple might add NFC (near field communications), which would allow users to transfer data (images, media, etc.) with other NFC-quipped devices and authorize payments with a tap of the iPhone.
iPhone 6 leaks show no sign of slowing down, so get ready to hear more and more about what we can expect in Apple's upcoming smartphones the closer we get to September.
