The Sony Xperia C4 is finally available for purchase in the UK after a long wait, going on sale now through Amazon.
Sony launched its mid-range Xperia C4 smartphone in some parts of Asia and released it in the U.S. as well this past summer, but the UK launch has taken a back seat until now. In fact, the handset didn't see a wide European release, but that could change.
The smartphone was expected to hit the UK much sooner, especially since it's been listed on Sony's UK website for quite some time now. Even now the smartphone appears with a "coming soon" label on the Sony UK online store, but at least it went on sale through Amazon.
The Sony Xperia C4 is now in stock and available for purchase SIM-free at £174.99 ($264.10) from Amazon UK and the retailer is also throwing in free shipping, as expected.
As a reminder, the Sony Xperia C4 features a 5.5-inch full HD display, which means a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. Under the hood, the handset packs a 64-bit octa-core MediaTek MTK6752 procesor clocked at 1.7 GHz, coupled with 2 GB of RAM for a smooth and fluid performance.
The Sony Xperia C4 further includes 16 GB of internal storage, expandable via microSD, a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel selfie camera with Exmor R and flash to turn you into a "master of the selfie."
The smartphone ships with Android Lollipop on board and promises to deliver a strong battery performance, lasting for up to 12 hours and 47 minutes of talk time thanks to its 2,600 mAh unit.
Sony touts its Xperia C4 as the "next generation selfie phone" so users can capture "PROselfie" photos and videos. The smartphone also comes with a slew of neat software features, especially where the cameras are concerned.
You can learn more about the Xperia C4 specs and features from Sony's website, or you can buy the smartphone SIM-free from Amazon. It remains unclear for now just when the handset will become available for purchase through Sony's own website, but it shouldn't be too long now.
