In the recent weeks, leaked gameplay footage and screenshots of Fallout 4 have been on the front pages of publications. However, those that weren't sanctioned by Bethesda and don't have an outlet are yet to provide a proper sneak peek of the game. That's about to change later today when Conan O'Brien, along with Aaron Bleyaert, features Fallout 4 on Clueless Gamer, a segment of the TBS talk show "Conan," which is hosted by O'Brien.
Several major title releases have made their way into late night television through Clueless Gamer. The Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt, Halo 5: Guardians, Watch Dogs, Assassin's Creed Unity, Hitman: Absolution, Slender, Amnesia, Outlast, Mortal Combat X, Grand Theft Auto V,Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare and more were featured in the said segment. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is a prominent Bethesda title that got featured in the show prior to its release.
According to a Nielsen report, 2.7 million people tune in from Monday to Thursday and watch O'Brien's show. Some developers and publishers pay to have their game featured on the show and reach out to Conan's viewership. Gamespot reports that Outlast's developer paid $35,000 to have the horror game shown on the late night program. It was not revealed if Bethesda needed to pay to have its games featured.
On a teaser video released for the Fallout 4 episode of the Clueless Gamer, O'Brien and Bleyaert were shown to be wearing the same outfit as the Sole Survivor who walks the desolate post-apocalyptic world of the Fallout franchise. Moreover, O'Brien teased that it will be "very special." Fallout 4 will indeed need to have something "very special" in order to top The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt's sex on top of a unicorn scene.
Fallout 4 is set for PC, Xbox One and PS4 release on Nov. 10. Conan airs tonight, Nov. 9, at 11 p.m. EST.
