Apple just announced some exciting news for Apple fans in India. On Nov. 6, the Cupertino brand will start rolling out the Apple Watch to the Indian market, finally bringing the much-coveted wearable to eager customers there.
Just recently, the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus went official in India, and this time, the wearable tech, which pairs nicely with the handsets, is landing there in a few days' time. It was confirmed when Apple updated its Indian page, and in the top-left corner, the line read "Available 6/11" or, to put it differently, Nov. 6.
In April, the Apple Watch started to hit the shelves in other countries, including Canada, Japan and the United States, to name a few. In Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, the wearable tech was launched on Oct. 22, and in the Philippines, South Africa and Chile, it was released the next day on Oct. 23, following up on the launch wave. Next up in line is India.
Although the release date has been revealed, Apple still hasn't given out complete pricing details. But considering the price of the Watch variants (ranging from the Apple Watch Sport, Apple Watch and Apple Watch Edition) that starts from $349 up to $17,000, they might be priced at about Rs 22,500 ($350) and top out at approximately Rs 11 lakhs. Also, Grabmore.in has been offering the wearable tech, which is imported from Europe and the United States, at Rs 36,999 ($570), which stirs up even more speculations of its price tag.
The Apple Watch will bring a ton of intelligent features, such as the Workout and Activity app and heart-rate monitor via third-party apps, and it's fitted with a built-in microphone and speaker. And, of course, it will come with the ever-popular virtual assistant Siri.
"Receive and respond to notifications in an instant. Track your daily activity. Control your music using only your voice. With Apple Watch, important information and essential features are always just a raise of the wrist away," Apple posted on its Indian Apple Watch page, which is where the release date is also posted.
