Attention Bronies And Pegasisters: First ‘My Little Pony’ Cafe In The World Now Open

Japan is a go-to destination for themed cafes because, frankly, no one can really pull it off like they can. This October, the Japanese were at it again, opening a My Little Pony-themed cafe, making the Harajuku a must-visit for bronies and pegasisters everywhere.

The cafe came to be as a collaboration between My Little Pony and Umajo, a women's club from the Japanese Racing Association. The two then teamed up with Sunday Jam, a restaurant in Harajuku famed for its amazing pancakes, to give the My Little Pony Cafe a home. As to be expected, everything about the cafe screams My Little Pony, from the decorations down to the specialized menu. There's even a life-sized Twilight Sparkle to greet guests at the door!

The My Little Pony Cafe is every brony and pegasister's dream come true but anyone looking to live out that dream must act fast because the cafe will only be open for a limited time, running from Oct. 13 to Nov. 29.

My Little Pony started out as a line of toys featuring ponies with colorful bodies and manes, each with a unique symbol known today as "cutie marks." The toy line was in production between 1983 and 1995 and during that time inspired animated specials, a feature-length film and four TV series.

Due to its popularity, My Little Pony has been referenced multiple times in various media, even appearing in cameos on TV and movies. "My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic" is an animated series representing the fourth generation of the franchise. It came out in 2010 and is still in production, revolving around the life and adventures of Twilight Sparkle, a unicorn pony, and Spike, her baby dragon assistant.

They are joined by Twilight Sparkle's friends in Ponyville: Rainbow Dash, a Pegasus pony with weather-control abilities; Rarity, a glamorous pony with a knack for fashion design; Fluttershy, a Pegasus pony fond of animals and nature; Pinkie Pie, a hyperactive pony who thrives to throw parties; and Apple Jack, a hard-working pony with an apple farm. Together, they are referred to as the "Mane 6."

The My Little Pony Cafe is open all week until 9:00 pm, opening at 11:00 a.m. during weekdays and 9:00 a.m. during weekends. On Nov. 29, however, it will close at 5:00 p.m., with last orders taken at 4:30 p.m.
