Close on the heels of its UK launch, Google Glass now gets even better as the company has updated the wearable with new features, more apps and additional RAM.
The new apps or Glassware come ahead of the Google I/O, which will be held on June 24 and June 25 in San Francisco.
"You probably didn't expect us back with another update so soon, but we've got a few new Glassware coming your way. Well, 12 to be exact," reveals the company in Google+ post.
Google is bringing a plethora of new Glassware for its Google Glass. There are 11 new apps which include the personal trainer Runtastic, 94Fifty Basketball, Zombies! Run, Duolingo, The Guardian, GuidiGO (the personal travel guide), Star Chart, Shazam,Goal.com, Livestream and musiXmatch. The twelfth app is an existing one - Allthecooks - which gets an upgrade.

In addition to new apps, Google Glass will now offer better performance and Explorers can rejoice in the fact that the newer versions of the wearable device will ship with double the RAM - that's right 2GB! However, at this juncture it is not known if the older versions which offer 1GB of RAM can be traded in or upgraded. Even though Explorers have inundated Google with this query on Google+, the company is choosing to keep mum.
A strong possibility exists that Google is waiting to make the announcement at the opening keynote of the Google I/O.
However, additional RAM and new apps aren't the only newbies Google is bringing to the table. Explorers will be delighted to learn that the Google Glass will also get a viewfinder, which will enable users to frame their pictures easily and in a better manner.
"When you say "ok glass, show the viewfinder" you'll see white L's in the four corners of your Glass screen. You can then either take a photo by saying "ok glass, take a picture," with a wink, or by pushing the camera button," reveals Google.
The company has also launched two new Google Now cards. One of the cards will remind Explorers where they parked their vehicle and the other one alerts a user when a package is on its way to be delivered.
Google has also taken feedback into consideration and the new Google Glass will have a better battery life, an improvement of 20 percent over the older version. The voice search feature too sees an enhancement and will be 10 percent faster. The design of the Google Glass also sees different shades and frames and offers prescription support.
