Apple just introduced its latest flagship smartphones, the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus. Those who didn't preorder or snag their phone on launch are finding some models in short supply. Here's a rundown of availability and wait times for the iPhones from the big four carriers, Verizon, AT&T, Sprint And T-Mobile.
At Verizon, all iPhone 6s phones are available immediately except rose gold in all storage configurations, which ships at the end of October for the 16GB and 64GB versions, while the 128GB rose gold option is listed as "Out Of Stock But Coming Soon". Meanwhile the iPhone 6s Plus is backordered in every model and storage configuration, with a four to five-week wait for the larger storage and most popular color options.
AT&T also has most iPhone 6s models in stock, except, again, rose gold. The 16GB model has a two-week wait, while the 64 GB has a four-week wait. The 128 GB model has the shortest wait time, just one week. The iPhone 6s Plus is backordered for four to six weeks in most colors and storage configurations, but the 64GB and 128GB rose gold models have a two-month wait time.
T-Mobile is currently showing the longest lead times of the big four, and only has the 128 GB models of the iPhone 6s in stock. All 64GB configurations are delayed one to two months, while some 16GB colors, space gray and gold, can be purchased in one to two weeks, with the others are delayed longer.
Sprint is currently showing shorter wait times than its competitors for most iPhone 6s and 6s Plus models. All iPhone 6s models are in stock except for the 16GB rose gold version, which has a two-week wait time. Several iPhone 6s Plus models are in stock or have a short lead time. Those with relatively longer waits of two to three weeks include 16 GB silver, gold and rose gold, 64GB gold and rose gold, and 128 GB rose gold.
Of course, things move fast and availability and wait times are sure to fluctuate, so your best bet is to visit the website of your carrier of choice once you're ready to buy.
