We are all looking forward to the latest Uncharted title from Naughty Dog that will be released next year, but fans of the franchise can soon get their hands on the complete collection of the previous titles when Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection comes out in just a few days for PlayStation 4.
The bundle includes Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves and Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception, and since the games are remastered, they will be packed with more attractive graphics and an overall enhanced gameplay.
Now, fans of the franchise can get a glimpse of just how good the action scenes look when running at 60fps in the collection, thanks to a new video uploaded by Polygon.
In the video, Polygon highlighted the gorgeous scenes that take place in the Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, which was originally released in 2009. With the storyline inspired by Marco Polo's travels around Asia, in the game, Drake and his friends are on a quest to hunt down the Cintimani Stone and Shangri-La, attempting to beat out Serbian mercenaries from getting their hands on it first.
Of course, those who have played the second game in the series know that the best action takes place when Drake is on board a cargo train that is heading to the Himalayas during chapter 13, titled "Locomotion" and chapter 14, titled "Tunnel Vision."
At double the framerate running at 180p60, the surrounding jungle comes to life as Drake scales the side of the train, ducking from fire and shooting the bad guys as he makes his way inside the train. The fight sequences include Drake taking out the mercenaries one by one, and who can forget blowing up that helicopter as the train approaches the snowy mountains? There is so much texture and detail, making us really want to go back and play this game.
Sony released a free demo for Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection on the PlayStation Store on Tuesday. The collection launches on Oct. 9 for PS4, but in the meantime, check out how good the game looks in the action scene clip below.
