If you put dark and dramatic music over something, of course it's going to seem scary. But let's just say when you watch the trailer for the newly-announced Sims 4 Spooky Stuff Pack, you might want to keep the lights on.
As the name of this Stuff Pack suggests, it's going to bring some horror to The Sims 4 with new outfits, objects and gameplay. Well, you know, as terrifying as you can make The Sims 4 at least.
Arriving just in time for Halloween, this Stuff Pack will definitely get you in the spirit by allowing you to dress up Sims of all ages in new costumes, such as a ninja, witch or pirate. These costumes also don't have to be worn just at a Spooky Party, which is a new type of party available with this Stuff Pack. I mean, what Sim doesn't want to look like a Super Llama all year round?
The Sims 4 Spooky Stuff Pack will also include tons of new creepy decorations to allow you to turn your Sim's abode into a haunted house, complete with chilling tombstones, a seemingly spirit-filled cauldron and some possessed paintings that not only look back at you, but if looks could kill, well, you know the rest. All of these decorations will provide the perfect ambience as your Sim cooks up three new nasty recipes: an Eyeball Cheese Plate, Zombie Cake and Spooky Cookies. Your Sim can also ask others to bring over a treat, but there's always the chance that they will trick you instead, because Halloween.
Aside from these aesthetic additions to The Sims 4, this Spooky Stuff Pack will also bring a couple of objects that will give your Sims some ghoulish gameplay. One of these is a Spooky Candy Bowl, you know, like those startling ones with a mechanical hand that tries to grab you when you reach in for some sweets? The other is a very festive Pumpkin Carving Station that Sims can use to make Halloween art and carve a jack-o'-lantern, of course. Ghost Sims can then take your illuminated creation, put it on their heads and get in on the Halloween celebrations as well.
