Apple's three-month free trial for Apple Music is about to expire for users who signed up on day one. If you want to avoid being automatically charged, here's how to cancel your subscription.
When Apple unveiled its new music steaming service, Apple Music, at WWDC 2015, the company announced that it would offer users a free three-month subscription to the service for free. The move was intended to allow users to fully experience what Apple was offering over an extended period of time and it was confident that many customers would subscribe to the service.
Tech Times reported an analyst deemed Apple Music a success, with a purported 15 million current subscribers. Apple Music exec Oliver Schusser, however, stated that the company still has some work to do to perfect the service and wasn't concerned about losing users when the free trial ends.
"There's a lot of work going into making the product better. Our focus is on editorial and playlists, and obviously we have teams all around the world working on that, but we're also adding features and cleaning up certain things," said Schusser. "Apple Music Connect is growing big-time with more and more artists connecting to their fans, but we still have a bit of homework to be done for the rest of the year."
Apple launched Apple Music on June 30. For users who signed up on launch day, they will need to decide if they want to automatically renew their subscription by Sept. 30.
If you signed up for Apple Music and don't want to pay to continue the subscription, here's how to cancel your subscription on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch.
Apple has made it extremely easy to turn off Apple Music automatic renewal on iOS.

2. Select "View Apple ID" and enter your password when prompted.
