After the ending of season five, fans of Game of Thrones have wondered if Jon Snow will ever return to the show. Well, from what actor Kit Harington has to say, it appears as if Jon Snow will cheat death after all.
Harington spoke with The Independent in an interview, stating that he believes Game of Thrones will be a part of his life until he's in his thirties. At the moment, the actor is only 28 years old, so it would seem as if he'll be a part of this project until the very end.
"Let's just say that Game of Thrones will remain a part of my life for a while, I'll probably be in my thirties when it's over," he said.
In our minds, it is clear that Jon Snow will return, so it appears as if the fans are correct. How this might happen is not yet clear, but then again, the fans might be right is assuming that the Red Queen is the one to bring him back from death.
Should she do this, we expect Jon Snow to leave the Night's Watch without interference from anyone. Bear in mind that the only way a person's Watch can be over is if they come face-to-face with death and lost.
With the death of Stannis, the Red Queen would require someone else to manipulate. However, she might find it difficult manipulating Jon Snow, especially if he was to be made aware of the terrible things she has done in the past.
She is still alive in George R.R. Martin's books, but since the show has now caught up with the contents of the books, we can't be sure of what is going to happen.
We'd love to see her corpse hanging from Castle Black, but for the sake of the story being told, she should survive for the time being.
Whatever the case may be, it is probably safe right now to say that Jon Snow will indeed return to Game of Thrones. Now, whether or not he will return in seasons after season 6, that remains to be seen.
