The Flash actor Grant Gustin just reveled a new official poster for season 2 of The CW series.
In the promo poster, we see The Flash (aka Barry Allen) on his knees, screaming in pain with his hands rolled into fists as lightning strikes him.
"Tune into season two of @cwtheflash and see how Barry can get through this time of tribulation, caused by so many losses in the season one finale. A good scream always helps," Grant writes in a post sharing the poster on Instagram.
While we know Allen/The Flash has suffered some losses, we still wonder what makes him fall to the ground in this shockingly painful pose.
We do know that season 2 will follow the storyline of the singularity that is hovering over Central City, as new villains including Zoom enter the scene. We will also be introduced to a new character, Patty Spivot (played by Shantel VanSanten), who is a Central City cop and new love interest for Allen.
The CW released an extended trailer for season 2 last week that gave fans a first look at the new characters, as well as teasing just what The Flash will have in store for him this season.
Actor Teddy Sears released another teaser poster last month that showed his character Jay Garrick (the original Flash) running alongside Allen toward a blonde. The poster paid homage to the 1961 cover of Flash #123.
As we get closer to the season 2 premiere, we are looking forward to more teasers and character news.
