Season 2 of The Flash will bring new threats to the S.T.A.R. Labs gang and Central City. The person sounding the alarm is Jay Garrick, whose highly anticipated arrival to The Flash we finally got a quick glimpse of in this new TV promo for Season 2 of the show.
The new TV promo opens with Jay Garrick (Teddy Sears) in his iconic winged helmet delivering a warning that the world of Barry Allen et al. "is in danger." Jay Garrick goes on to explain that when Barry Allen created the singularity above Central City during Season 1's finale, he created a portal. It looks like that portal will allow new villain Atom Smasher (Adam Copeland) to enter the universe of the show.
Jay Garrick was the first character to have the title of The Flash in the DC Comics. He inhabits a place called Earth-Two, which is a parallel universe to the one Barry lives in.
It looks like the Atom Smasher, a.k.a. Albert Rothstein, will be one of those threats Jay Garrick warns Barry Allen about. Atom Smasher has super-strength and can change his size, so he certainly seems like someone Central City should be worried about.
Season 2 of The Flash premieres Tuesday, Oct. 6 at 8 p.m. EST on The CW. Get ready for the Season 2 premiere by watching the full TV promo below.
