If you want to get some Batman vs. Superman kicks in while waiting for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice to come to theaters, a Taylor Swift parody video of the single "Bad Blood" featuring the two superheroes going head-to-head might be a good place to start.
Titled "Bat Blood," the video also deigns the respective motley superhero/sci-fi/fantasy crews with new nicknames (for instance, Batman's moniker is swapped out with "Batastrophe"). In the chorus, the word "bad" is also replaced with "bat" — hence the slightly modified title.
The animated parody short is the brainchild of the creative team How It Should Have Ended (HISHE) (headed by co-founders Tommy Watson and Daniel Baxter), which, as the name of the team suggests, creates parody endings for major pop culture franchises, like Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, Jaws and Jurassic World.
Batman is the Virgil of this Swift-esque dreamscape/DC Universe/pop iconoculture hybrid, leading us to a supposed "pub" where supervillains congregate and then go into battle with the Last Son of Krypton himself, all the while spewing out barbs directed at his caped part-time rival. For instance:
"Remember when you tried Lois and Clark?/Remember when you thought Returns was the boss?/Don't you remember? Man of Steel should please us!/Dead fathers and Jesus/You don't know how to lead us, Smallville."
Notable cameos include Trinity from the Matrix ("Trinities"), Harry Potter ("Hocus"), the pink teddy bear from Breaking Bad, Dorothy Gale from The Wizard of Oz, a velociraptor and Chuck Norris ("Grand Master Beardfist").
As Batastrophe says, "the Justice League is Toast."
