Is a new Justice League cartoon series in the works? According to Comic Book Resources, the answer might be yes.
The comic culture website picked up on a Reddit thread where a user going by the handle UnknownJ25 posted a photograph of what appears to be a row of posters inside the Warner Bros. headquarters in Burbank, Calif.
The promo posters are all of recently announced shows (Wabbit) and series that are already on the air (Mike Tyson Mysteries).
A poster on the far right, however, fits into neither of these categories; furthermore, it simply reads "JLA," which could possibly stand for "Justice League of America." This may very well be early promo art for a yet-unannounced Justice League cartoon.
CBR inferred that the silhouettes featured on the framed poster were of some Justice League vets from the DC universe — like Superman, Hawkgirl, Wonder Woman, Batman, Firestorm and more. Whether the figures actually match with those characters from the older show has yet to be determined.
The original Justice League cartoon, created by Bruce Timm and Paul Dini, aired from 2001 to 2004. After its first season, the animated show was renamed Justice League Unlimited.
CBR reached out to Warner Bros. for confirmation. So far, no comment has been made by the network.
