In honor of the upcoming Mad Max video game release, Warner Brothers worked with YouTube creator Devin Graham to create a reimagined Mad Max-inspired chase sequence with go-karts and paintball guns.
This isn't just your standard fan film, though: this 4K-shot film looks as real as anything in the game or the recent Mad Max: Fury Road movie.
Standing in for the infamous deserts of the wasteland was Green River, Utah. Graham used a RED Dragon camera to film the piece, which Warner Brothers sponsored to promote the upcoming Mad Max video game.
YouTuber Graham has already made a name for himself for similar videos: he worked with Ubisoft for live action versions of Assassins Creed and Far Cry 4.
Here's the Mad Max movie Graham shot, in all its action sequence glory:
The video game, which isn't related to the Mad Max: Fury Road film, puts players in the role of Mad Max himself, as he traverses the wasteland, and makes unlikely allies, all in an effort to take down the evil overlord Scrotus.
"In the Wasteland it's every man for himself," reads the game's description on its website. "Playing as reluctant warrior, Mad Max, you must embark on a treacherous journey to build the ultimate war vehicle, and leave the madness behind."
Warner Brothers also recently released an interactive trailer to show how gameplay choices affect how things go down in the wasteland.
The Mad Max video game releases on September 1 for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4. A deluxe edition of the game is also available that includes a special Blu-ray edition of Mad Max: Fury Road, exlusive game content, a steelbook case, a collector's box, an extra body for the in-game vehicle and a mini-license plate.
