LG G3 dummy unit spotted, features leaked ahead of Tuesday unveil

The LG G3 smartphone has been shown off ahead of schedule. A store in Korea put the dummy model of the smartphone on display before LG's official unveiling. Although this was just a dummy unit that may not be the same as the final product, there were some twists involved.

The main thing that the dummy featured that is leading to various speculations is a brushed metal with a white body. This could be a hint of a plain white and plastic variation since brushed metal doesn't look that great on white coating, but it is still just speculation.

Another LG division revealed even more juicy info about the upcoming LG G3 smartphone. LG Netherlands published the full LG G3 product page it seems with nothing left from the leak. The full specs and many of the new features users can come to expect were revealed on the product page.

The display will be 5.5" and offer 2560x1440 resolution. The user interface will be more in line with recent updates to Android and offer a flatter look. The case will have a round hole. Specs will include a Snapdragon 801 CPU with a 13-megapixel camera, 16GB of storage 2GB of RAM and a removable 3000mAh battery. Dimensions will be 146.3mm tall, 74.7mm wide, and 8.9mm thick.

New software features were also revealed showing what users can expect from the upcoming phone. The features include "tips based on the status of your phone, your behavior, and the locations where you are," (this may be a flavor of Google Now or a similar service.

To those unfamiliar with it, Google Now serves up information to Android users based on their traits before they even ask for this information. It does this through the use of cards. It will be interesting how LG modifies this feature or serves up its own flavor in the software update.

Another software feature revealed of the upcoming phone and its user interface will be a "Quick Circle" feature, which will put a user's six most-used apps in a convenient circle for them to access. Also, the custom or virtual keyboard will be modified to enhance the experience.
