The new DLC for Battlefield: Hardline, Robbery, puts heists front and center and adds an impressive arsenal of neat new weapons.
Developer Visceral Games and publisher EA haven't made an official, detailed announcement regarding the content just yet, but some nice surprises are apparently in store. The developer recently said it would add four new weapons with the new Battlefield: Hardline DLC, Robbery, but it seems it added 11 instead of just four.
After analyzing Gamescom 2015 gameplay footage, YouTube user Westie posted a video pointing out that the new Battlefield: Hardline DLC has an impressive number of weapons, with various characteristics.
Some weapons are all new, some are borrowed from Battlefield 4, while others were previously available only as upgrades. Moreover, players will also be able to enjoy throwing knives, which should be quite a thrilling option. It remains to be seen exactly which weapons will come as DLC-exclusive.
The list of weapons for the Battlefield: Hardline DLC includes assault rifles such as F2000, MDC, Famas and RPK, an FN57 handgun, a Scorpion (CZ 3A1) PDW, a Barrett M82.50 Cal Semi-Auto sniper rifle, a Saiga 12 shotgun, an M1 Carbine, an MP7 PDW and a throwing knife.
It's unclear for now just when these new options will become available, but the upcoming Battlefield: Hardline Robbery DLC is shaping up to be quite promising, especially with this focus on heists and weapons.
Robbery is expected to launch sometime in September, following the release of the Criminal Activity expansion back in June. In addition to a focus on heists, the upcoming DLC is also expected to bring more maps and other goodies.
At the same time, a couple of extra Battlefield add-ons should hit the scene in the future. Getaway is set to launch in the fall of this year, while Betrayal should roll out sometime in early 2016, part of the Hardline DLC pass that costs $50.
Judging by the user comments to this video from Westie, gamers seem quite excited to try out the upcoming Battlefield: Hardline Robbery DLC. To get a better glimpse of what to expect in terms of weapons, check out the video below.
