Battlefield Hardline is the next big title from Electronic Arts, and the company is hoping the new game, despite not being a traditional Battlefield title, will pave the way for an annual Battlefield release.
The beta for the game is currently live on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. During this time, EA is slowly collecting data and user feedback to help improve the multiplayer experience, and it appears that has already started.
According to the company, player feedback is crucial, and we feel the same. It is always great to see how players can influence the direction of a game because, in many instances, game developers fail to listen.
"Receiving player feedback is a huge part of development, and you've influenced the direction of the game in a big way," stated EA via a blog post. "We take your comments to heart, and we've rounded up all the small things that we've tweaked in the game since the last beta when the game was announced at E3."
The 15 improvements shows that EA is taking this very seriously since Hardline is the first time the Battlefield franchise has taken a different position. Unlike the previous games, Hardline is designed around the cops and robbers idea. It means players should not expect to be driving tanks and jets around the map.
Furthermore, the game is also faster, more along the line of Call of Duty than anything else. From all indication, it appears as if EA wants to have two versions of Battlefield, one for casual gamers, and one for the hardcore.
Here is the list of 15 changes to the game so far:
1) Gadget Master Class
2) A Cleaner Customize Screen
3) More Interactions
4) Longer Rounds
5) Less Explosions
6) A Cleaner HUD
7) Stronger Vehicles
8) More Sensitive Audio
9) Adjusted interrogation
10) Faster Movement
11) Camera Tweaks
12) Nerfing Survivalist
13) More Visual Feedback
14) Faster Vehicles
15) Sweet Spots in Heavy Vehicles
At the end of the day, we'd prefer if EA chose to create a Battlefield: Bad Company Title rather than Hardline. Many players have said repeatedly that Bad Company 2 was the most fun they have ever had with a Battlefield game, yet EA is finding it difficult to revisit the title for the third time.
