Square Enix is a company that has brought gamers memorable video games that have spawned spinoffs and additions to existing video game franchises, ensuring players of varied interests will always find something that suits their preferences.
One of the most successful role-playing video games from the company is Final Fantasy, and now, its much-awaited spinoff is finally heading to North America to usher in 2016.
Final Fantasy Explorers, according to Square Enix on YouTube, is a game that focuses on cooperative play, allowing players and their friends to enjoy the game locally with each other on 3DS devices whether they are online or nearby.
The Final Fantasy Twitter page posted this tweet sharing the exciting news with fans:
Friends who embark on the journey of the latest spinoff will face a world on the verge of war due to different groups fighting over crystals that are the vital power source of the world. Their team of Explorers will bravely venture out to collect the Grand Crystal pieces that is the energy of the planet.
The game does allow for solo playing, but it will be more exciting to combat various monsters, delve into dungeons and explore hidden spaces with your most skilled companions. The refined party system of Final Fantasy Explorers lets players master over 20 new and existing jobs, which include the Monk, Black Mage and White Mage, and even the Knight.
Players can now also call upon the strongest monsters in the realm to aid them in battle.
The Trance feature of the game allows players to summon the powers of eidolons like Ifrit and Bahamut, and transform into the legendary characters from the series.
Final Fantasy Explorers was first released in Japan in December 2014. The game will be available for Nintendo 3DS on Jan. 26, 2016 for North America while the EU release date is on Jan 29, 2016.
